Keep requests waiting for review

In the queue view, switch Queue moderation on. Ordinary viewer requests wait in Incoming until someone with the right permission approves them. Trusted viewers are an exception, so review that list before relying on manual approval.

Preview a request before approving it. Check the selected moment and decide whether the video fits your stream. Use Approve to send it to the queue or Reject to decline it. The queue shows what is playing and what comes next.

Turning moderation off automatically accepts new unblocked requests. It does not approve items that were already pending. An automated eligibility check or minimum view count cannot decide whether a video is suitable for your audience.

Give each moderator the controls they need

Open Moderators, find the person by Twitch name, confirm the account and choose their permissions. They sign in with their own Twitch account and select your channel. Being a Twitch chat moderator does not automatically grant access to this dashboard.

  • Approve & reject: review Incoming requests.
  • Playback, remove & reorder: manage the active player and queue.
  • Add media: add videos manually without Bits.
  • Trust viewers: manage who can bypass review.
  • Block users & videos: stop future requests from specific users or for specific media.
  • Channel settings: change channel configuration.

You can assign these separately. A moderator handling approvals does not need permission to change your pricing or trusted viewers.

Use trusted and blocked lists deliberately

In Settings, Trusted viewers, Blocked users and Blocked videos are separate lists. Find people by their Twitch account. Add a supported provider link when blocking a video.

Trust allows a viewer’s future requests to bypass manual review. Blocking stops future submissions from that viewer or for that video. It is a media-share rule, not a Twitch chat ban. Review the current queue separately when you need to remove a request that is already there.

Handle a busy queue

Use the Viewer requests switch to pause new submissions when the queue is full enough. Your team can continue reviewing and playing existing items. A moderator with playback permission can reorder, remove or skip requests as needed.

Set clear expectations for viewers before purchases: approval is still required when moderation is on, provider restrictions can prevent playback, and Bits purchases are final. See pricing and purchase behavior for the distinction between a request and guaranteed airtime.
